The Photon Science Research Institute is very pleased to welcome new members to its Board.
Professor Swapan Chattopadhyay from the Cockcroft Institute has joined the PSRI to provide vital input in the area of novel accelerator concepts, and Professor Wendy Flavell from the University of Manchester will strengthen the Institute in the important area of surface science.
The Chief Scientist of the Institute, Professor Justin Wark welcomed both to the board, stating "The PSRI is committed to promoting the excellent science that can be undertaken with emerging and extant fourth generation light sources. We are very excited that Professor Chattopadhay and Professor Flavell have agreed to join the board of the PSRI. Their respective expertise will be pivotal in supporting the scientific community in the UK that wishes to exploit these sources, and their input into putting forward the science case for NLS will strengthen that project enormously.
